In the face of unprecedented challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses found themselves reevaluating our operations and seeking new avenues for survival. This is the story of how one entrepreneurial couple turned adversity into opportunity by transitioning from a struggling travel agency business to a thriving blinds business during the pandemic. As the world continues to recover from the pandemic, our story stands as a testament to the power of reinvention and the ability to find silver linings amidst the darkest clouds. Where we are seated, we now run 2 businesses at the same time, contributing to curbing unemployment rate in our country.
Blinds by KB, is a blinds installation company of which its customers are households and businesses. We aspire to own and assemble our own blinds to control quality and efficiencies and maximize in making money.
Blinds by KB would like to provide holistic solutions to the unemployment rate by providing sustainable jobs to the youth and women of this country through starting agencies that will identify their own market
We are a 100% black owned company with a level 1 BBBEE status. As a 51% Black women owned business, our BBBEE status affords a 135% recognition level.

He headed a project in continuous improvement as a project process lead to ensure Smooth transition. He was the business development manager for the family run Travel agency

Experience: 12 yrs. of business management, 15 yrs. FMCG (6yrs Production Management) 3 Start-ups and 2 still in operation

Didintle Modingoane

Managing Director and Financial director
She is an outstanding business person who started off a laundromat business back in 2010, and eventually started a travel agency of which she is qualified for from Damelin, and has vars experience in both leisure and corporate space. In 2015 she finally opened her own agency until it was severely affected by Covid-19 pandemic and gave birth to the recent company Blinds by KB. Covid-19 taught us not to put all our eggs in one basket. She is an outstanding financial Administrator, of who’s work ethics has kept both businesses to the level that they are at
Experience: 12 yrs. Of business management, 10 yrs. In the travel industry worked from Junior – Senior positions and polished her administrative and attention to detail skills.
